No school tomorrow for the third day in a row.

Due to emergency weather conditions, Baltimore City Public Schools are closed tomorrow, December 23, 2009.
Administrative offices are open. Essential employees, including all central office staff, are required to report to work.
Another snow-recovery day for school kids and their parents. Schools are closed again tomorrow. According to the Baltimore City Schools web site:

According to WBAL, WJZ and foxbaltimore, all city schools will be closed on Monday, December 21st, 2009. Additional details: Employees Must Report; Liberal Leave in Effect

Tomorrow December 9, 2009 is Family Night at Mamma’s Cucina. This is an EASY & FUN way for RPEMS to earn money for many of the great requests that come in during the school year. We receive a portion of the proceeds for DELIVERY, TAKE-OUT, & DINE-IN.

Congratulations to both the Girls and Boys Soccer Teams. They each won the City Championship at Poly/Western Complex.
I would like to thank all the parents, students, faculty and staff who supported us this past season.
The boys won their game by a score of 3-0 and the girls won 2-1.

The RPEMS Barnes & Noble BookFair is Friday, December 4th, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, in Towson.
We’ll have teachers reading, Officer Tony singing, the Crystal Quartet performing, flute duets, AND book signings by parents Scott Fuqua, Patrick O’Brien, and Marion Winik.

Tonight at 5:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room, 6th-grade adminstrator Mr. D’Ambrosio will host a middle school information session. Ingenuity Program and Advanced Academic Program will be addressed.
This Thursday, December 3rd, the middle-school counselors, Connie DuCroix and Janet Fonda, will hold a High School Information Session in the RPEMS library from 5-7 pm.
There will be a power-point presentation and questions will be answered in regard to filling out high-school applications.

We are looking forward to a great turnout for the PTA Green Committee Meetings on December 8th. Both the 8 a.m. and the 5:30 p.m. meetings will take place in the Principal’s Conference Room at the back of the library. Access it from the hall between the multi-purpose room and the library.
