AFFORDABLE AUCTION
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2010
6:30 PM TO 11:00 PM
Are you new to RPEMS this year? Were you new last year? Then there’s a chance you’ve never been to the biennial Affordable Auction. By now, you’ve probably seen the announcements and posters about the Affordable Auction, but you may still be wondering what it’s all about. Yes, it’s the PTA’s major fund-raiser for the year, so all of the money raised funds wonderful things like field trips and assemblies for our kids, capital improvements to the school facilities and parent education evenings.
But it’s also a TON of fun! It’s an affordable evening out and a chance to mingle with Roland Park parents and staff in a festive, child-free setting. It’s a night to discover new local restaurants and services…and bid on them! It’s an opportunity to pick up hand-crafted items, many of which have been made by members of our school community. It’s a head-start on holiday shopping with gorgeous themed gift baskets. It’s a way to fulfill your promise to take the family out to more cultural and sporting events with our great ticket packages. It’s fabulous food, delicious drinks, marvelous music with friends new and old.
Now, we’re going to need stuff to auction off, naturally, so if you’d like to donate an item or service, please e-mail AA2010@rolandparkpublic.org or call 410.417.7367.
And, of course, events like this can only happen with the help of parent volunteers. (Hint: volunteering at the auction is a great way to meet people if you’re new to the school.) Please e-mail AA2010@rolandparkpublic.org or call 410.417.7367.
So you see, it’s fun AND educational AND it benefits our wonderful school. Buy your tickets in advance and save $5 each. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. So line up that sitter NOW for Friday, November 12.
The Elementary After-School Clubs are now officially populated by many lucky students. Please take a look at the After School Clubs page to see if you were selected by random drawing.
