Middle School Clubs and Activities
Relying on both school faculty and parent volunteers, Roland Park has been able to offer a wide array of after school clubs and activities to pique the interest of its students. A sample of these clubs and activities include:
Activity Grade Description
Band 6 – 8 and 1
+ years of experience Perform as a group. Experience music in a supportive environment.
Chorus 6 – 8. Audition required. Learn music reading and performance skills with music from various countries and periods.
Debate 6 – 8 with passing grades. Sponsored by the Baltimore Urban Debate League. Learn reasoning, communication and organizational skills and compete in tournaments.
Environment Club 7 – 8 Earn service learning hours by keeping the school’s campus beautiful and litter-free and caring for the plants.
Folk and Blues 6 – 8 Learn and sing songs in folk and blues traditions. Accompany songs with guitar chords (if you play guitar). Possible performances.
Rampage Newspaper 6 – 8 Learn about the newspaper business. Write articles and help publish school newspaper.
Photography 6 – 8 Learn the techniques of photography and the development of film.
Theater 6 – 8 Audition required. Act and perform in a theatrical musical production
